Act 2

This act is focused on solving real life problems through social marketing campaigns.

Sessions are given in the following areas:

  • Name, logo, vision and mission of an organization
  • Understanding the problems and barriers of change
  • Selecting the right target audience
  • Defining the product, price, placement and promotion in regards to asocial marketing/awareness campaign.
  • Communication/mediation
  • Conflict management
  • Leadership and change

In 2010, six groups were working on topics of their interest ranging from inner India racism *(link to radio play and article of spectacle), sexual harassment at workplaces *(link to advertisement of equal arena), awareness on the danger of plastic bags *(link to documentary of Better Bag campaign and their logo), encouraging inter religious dialogue, a fight against superstitious beliefs in regards to disabilities *(link to advertisement and short examples) and Female genital mutilation in east Africa *(link to radio play).

The highlight of act two was an exhibition on these four topics visited by students of high schools and colleges, by press and by interested community members. *(Photo)
