Come on a journey around the world.
We take you to sunny Kerala, a village in Kenya and the mountains of Peru – all this without leaving your living room. Enjoy traditional music from four continents: Africa, South America, Europe and Asia. But you will not visit only countries, you will get to know sources of social change. Every musician contributing to this CD promotes positive social change in his country. The artists are mostly former or present participants of the International Institute for Social Entrepreneurs (IISE) who are in the planning or start up phase of a social project. Others are staff of IISE who play an important role in supporting participants for newly established projects of present or former participants of IISE. The Singers of Change
The artists contributing to this CD are all somehow connected to the International Institute for Social Entrepreneurs (IISE). Most of them are participants of the IISE course 2009, 2010 or the present batch 2011. All participants of IISE are committed and motivated to make a positive change in their communities after going back to their home countries. Some of the musicians are catalysts or staff members who support the progress of participants towards achieving their goal of starting up a social project. Here is a short presentation of the Voices of IISE. More detailed information with project descriptions will follow soon.

Nosisa is a participant of IISE 2011 from Zimbabwe. It is her dream to change the attitude towards people living with HIV/AIDS in churches. |

Keith Sabwami from Kenya (IISE 2011). His dream is to set up a film factory for school drop outs in the slums of Nairobi. He also played a major role in the production of the CD. |

Nelson from Liberia is a participant of IISE 2011. He plans to set up a community radio for the blind in Liberia. |

Yoshimi Horiuchi from Japan (IISE 2009). She is setting up a mobile library for disadvantaged groups who live in rural areas of Thailand. Her project is titled Always Reading Caravan (ARC). |

Alexei from England is a catalysts in IISE. He supports participants in their efforts to start their own projects. |

Shihab from Kerala, India is a participant of IISE 2011. He wants to transform the negative concept of people with low vision into a positive concept of blind plus in order to improve the situation of partially sighted people in Kerala. |

Pynhoi from Northeast India was a participant of IISE 2009. Her project is to set up an early intervention centre for children with disabilities in Meghalaya. |

Eric from Ghana was a participant of IISE 2009. He is founder of the New Horizons Foundation in Ghana. |

Robert Sabwami from Kenya (IISE 2009). He plans to set up a computer training centre for the blind. |

Victor Tsaran from the Ukraine has been a short term catalyst in 2009. He is the accessibility manager at Yahoo, a musician and composer. |

Beatriz is a participant of IISE 2011. She is from Peru and she plans to start up a mobile computer training centre to open new horizons for the blind in the rural areas of Peru. |
Producers

Anja Pfaffenzeller from Germany (IISE 2011). Anja is the head of the production team of the CD. Her dream is to set up an organisation in Brasil with the name “Bats in action”. This organisation will empower blind people to enroll in vocations in the tourism sector. |

Sabriye Tenberken: Sabriye is the co-founder and co-director of the IISE. Sabriye is the main editor and sound engineer on the production of the VOICES of IISE CD. |
